The JRL-ORE will give 3 free webinars in the field of modelling complex physical phenomena in offshore wind power.
1. Computational and Experimental Analysis of the overflow effect in offshore renewable energy structures.
The effect of overflow on offshore structures will be described, followed by an explanation of the numerical modelling. Details on the analytical and experimental validation of the models will be discussed.
Date: 2 October from 11h to 12h.
2. Modelling and simulation of sedimentary material for offshore wind energy applications.
Description of the complexity of seabed sediment dynamics and SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) modelling; application of numerical models to the interaction of trailing anchors with the seabed in floating wind turbines.
Date: 16 October from 11h to 12h.
3. Challenges of applying deep neural networks to the offshore wind sector.
Description of the fundamentals of neural networks and deep learning techniques applied to SHM (structural health monitoring) to reduce O&M costs in offshore wind: case studies.
Date: October 30th from 11h to 12h.
BCAM will participate with the talk "Challenges of applying deep neural networks to the offshore wind sector".
