Eight institutions collaborate in the PIXIL project

The PIXIL project is a transnational and multidisciplinary scientific and technological cooperation. Its main goal is to develop the most advanced tools to analyze the Earth's subsurface, with a special focus on fostering the uptake of geothermal energy in the region. The project will contribute to making the trans-Pyrenean area a technology hub in subsoil characterization within two years. Its success is expected to boost the wealth and creation of jobs related to the generation and management of underground natural resources in the area.

With the purpose of becoming a baseline project, on 7 July 2020 took place an online meeting where the new collaborators of PIXIL were introduced.

INGEO - QUALI Geotermia - ALB - GEOPLAT - GEODE solutions - TLS Geothermics - SPORTLIGHT - AVERNE  SOURCES

The coordinator of the project, Josep de la Puente exposed an overview of the PIXIL project, and he also presented all the new members.

The agenda developed:

Technology 1: "Seismic FWI"

Technology 2: "CSEM / MT"

Technology 3: "Borehole logging and ML"

Finally, there was a space for exchanges defining collaboration proposals.

The commitment to promote geothermal energy in the region has more and more adherents.
